Difference between History and Mythology

As we know that in history we study about past events. But when we start to write about a particular phenomenon we focus on evidence ,it can be written, unwritten whatever else but we need a material evidence to reconstruct something about past. On the other hand, we know that Mythology also tells about past events,but it is not based on evidence . Basically Mythology is based on superstitions and legends. 

          History is the stories that guide us towards our future through the past. while Mythology is a collection of tales that binds our beliefs and faits.so we should not mix up these two things as a common category and to must understand the basic difference between History and Mythology.
